Spring Flowers Pizza

It’s Spring! And flowers are beginning to pop up all around- including on our pizza!

This delicious pizza recipe uses an easy homemade pesto as a base and

mozzarella cheese pearls to make the sweetest and tastiest flowers you ever did

see. Drizzle California Olive Ranch’s Jalapeño Herb Oil to finish it off and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough of choice
  • 1/2 a cup of pesto- store bought or homemade California Olive Ranch Pesto recipe here if you’d like
  • 8oz fresh mozzarella cheese pearls
  • 1 head of broccolini
  • 2oz prosciutto
  • 2 tablespoons California Olive Ranch Jalapeño Herb Chef’s Bottle Oil, plus more for serving
  • Dried pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450F
  2. Stretch and shape your pizza dough
  3. Evenly spread pesto sauce as pizza base
  4. Place mozzarella pearls in the shape of flower petals
  5. Twirl a piece of prosciutto into a ball and place in the center of mozzarella pearls as the pistil (flower center)
  6. Slice broccolini into bite sized pieces and scatter around the pizza
  7. Drizzle California Olive Ranch Jalapeño Herb Chef’s Bottle Oil over all broccolini
  8. Bake pizza in preheated oven for 20 minutes
  9. Top pizza with another drizzle of California Olive Ranch Jalapeño Herb Oil before serving
